Chelsea Dream Home

Of all of the beautiful places in this world, there is only one place I want to live, and that is Chelsea. Ever since I was a little girl visiting my Granny in London, I admired the whole area, from the lovely shops to the gorgeous brick and stucco townhouses with contrasting black iron railings. As someone who loves interior design, I often find myself daydreaming about how I would decorate one of those townhouses if I lived in one. Realistically, of course, if I can ever afford to live in Chelsea it will probably be in a tiny one bedroom flat, but a girl can certainly dream! I love homes that stick with a color palette of whites, ivories, and various shades of grey. I find it so welcoming to have a light and airy colored home. With such neutral colors, decor accents can make all the difference. From beautiful framed Hermes scarves to mongolian fur pillows, here are some lovely home decor ideas that I would love to have in my dream Chelsea home:

Vintage Mirrors Painted White

These make even the barest of walls so chic. They add a touch of vintage style with a modern spin thanks to the white paint.

Mongolian Fur Pillows and Sheepskin Rugs

These can add a dreamy texture to just about any room. There's nothing quite like snuggling up with one of those fluffy pillows, or jumping out of bed and having your feet land on a heavenly sheepskin rug.

Hermes Scarves

The classic, much sought after Hermes silk scarves are just as much little squares of art as they are fashion accessories. The prints and colors are so lovely, so why not decorate your home with them? I absolutely love the idea of framing Hermes scarves or making statement pillows out of them. They are an easy way to give a simple room a fashion-forward kick.

For my home, I would love to get my hands on this Hermes scarf to frame, "Brandebourgs". I am so drawn to the military dolman jacket on it that it's taking every bit of self control in my body to not run out and buy this scarf right now.

Statement Rugs

Nothing dresses up a simple neutral-colored room like a statement rug.

Lucite Chairs

I love how these chairs just disappear into the room, and they look unbelievably delicate and elegant.

Chandeliers

There's something so chic about letting a chandelier be the star of the room. I have always admired pretty light fixtures and I believe they add an air of sophistication and femininity to homes.

It only makes sense that my dream townhouse be as stylish as it's location. I think these decor ideas are perfectly tailored to a townhouse in Chelsea, and also my personal tastes. In my dreams!
